Some people think that fly fishing is all about trout rising to a dry fly.
Others fish for salmon or steelhead with a twohander.
To me fly fishing is targeting any fish with any fly.
It's not just salmonoids.
It's
predator fishing, it's saltwater, it's still water, rivers and creeks,
presenting that small dry to a rising grayling, hook it and feel it use
its saillike dorsal against the current and it is watching the water
cascade and feeling your heart skip a beat as a pike attack the fly with bad intent.
I change my fishing with the seasons and adapt to what the seasons has to offer.
I fish all year 'round and for many of the species we have with varied flies and rods.
These are my Years on the Fly.
